Someone whose job it is to hold the thread

Full planning, day-of coordination. The wedding planners in the directory.

3 approved planners 2 provinces

This is not a luxury, it is a trade-off in time. A wedding takes between two and three hundred hours of preparation. The real question is not the budget, it is who has those hours, and what you want to live on the day itself.

The 3 planners in the directory

Too few listings for a filter by criterion: this one will appear once the trade has enough people.

Or by province

Supply is not spread evenly across the provinces. That is why the province is a filter here, and not a page of its own.

How to choose your wedding planner

  1. 1Tell the two jobs apartFull planning runs over a year. Day-of coordination covers the day only, for a third of the price.
  2. 2Take at least the coordinationOn the day, someone has to answer the caterer while you get ready. Otherwise it will be your mother or your witness.
  3. 3Check the commissionsSome planners earn from the vendors they recommend. That is not a problem, but it should be said.
  4. 4Ask for their address bookA good planner is worth most for the names they know and the prices they get.
  5. 5Pin down the number of hours“Support” means nothing on its own. Ask for a quote in meetings and in hours.

The five questions to ask

  • What exactly is the difference between your packages, in hours?
  • Do you take a commission from the vendors you recommend?
  • Will you be there on the day yourself, or an assistant?
  • How many weddings do you take on the same weekend?
  • What happens if we want a vendor from outside your address book?

What it costs

From 800 € for day-of coordination to 5 000 € and up for full planning over a year.

These amounts are market benchmarks I wrote myself, not measurements. No listing in this category has entered a price in the database.

What's moving right now

  • ·Day-of coordination alone, now the best-selling package.
  • ·Hourly packages, for couples who organise things themselves but get stuck on one item.
  • ·Transparency on commissions, claimed as a selling point.
  • ·The planner who works with the couple's tools rather than their own.

Does it actually save money?

Sometimes, through negotiated prices. But the real trade-off is about time, not money.

The other categories

Each one sorts its vendors by what really sets them apart.
