1Start from the seasonAn out-of-season flower costs three times more and travels a lot. Ask what is in bloom on your date.
2Decide what mattersThe bouquet, the arch, the tables, the entrance. Put your budget on the two that will show up most in photos.
3Speak in pictures, not in namesFew couples can name a flower. Show three images, the florist will translate.
4Ask who sets up, and whenSetup takes hours. Check that the venue opens early enough in the morning.
5Think about afterwardsDried flowers keep, fresh ones do not. Some workshops take the arrangements back to pass them on.

Fresh or dried flowers?

Dried flowers keep, travel well and often cost less to install. Fresh flowers have a scent and a presence that nothing replaces. Several studios do both.

When should you book your florist?

6 to 9 months ahead is enough in most cases, except for Saturdays from May to September.

Can you reuse the ceremony flowers?

Yes, it is even common: the ceremony arrangements move to the reception room. Plan it with the studio, it takes people and time.
