Help and support
The most frequent questions, sorted by topic, for couples and for vendors. Anything else goes to contact@wewed.be.
No answer matches. Write to us at contact@wewed.be, and we will look into it.
Getting started
Opening an account, understanding what it costs, knowing where to start.
Is it really free?
Yes. It is free for couples, with no time limit and no card details. Every tool is open: the checklist, the budget, the guests, the seating plan, the gift list and the wedding website.
It is the vendors who pay for their presence on the platform. You pay nothing, and paying nothing does not put you on a reduced version.
Where do I start?
With the date and the number of guests, even roughly. Those are the two figures everything else follows from: the budget, the type of venue, what is still available.
You can give them by filling in a short form, or by talking to Wed, who asks the questions aloud and fills them in for you. Both lead to the same place.
Nothing is fixed. A date that moves is changed in one click, and the countdown plan recalculates itself.
Can two of us work on the same wedding?
Yes. One wedding has one space, not two. Your partner joins the same space and sees the same lists, the same amounts, the same saved vendors.
What one ticks, the other sees. There is no “my copy” and “their copy” to reconcile afterwards.
My wedding is in two months, is it too late?
No. The countdown plan adapts to the date you give: at two months it will not suggest looking for a venue, it will show what genuinely remains to be done in that time.
Be warned, though: for venues and caterers, availability at two months is thin, especially from May to September. The site will show you what is still free rather than waste your time on what is not.
The tools
Checklist, budget, guests, seating plan, gift list, wedding website.
What is the checklist for if I already have my own lists?
So that you do not discover in April that something was due in February. Tasks are set against your date, not against a generic list: each one has a moment when it becomes urgent.
You can add your own, delete some, move others. What is ticked stays ticked.
Where does the budget come from?
You give a total, and it suggests a breakdown by category. The benchmarks are Belgian, not American averages: a caterer in Namur does not cost what one costs in Manhattan.
Nothing is imposed. Every category can be changed, and the total recalculates as you enter real amounts.
How do my guests reply?
Through a single link you send them. They have no account to create and no app to install: they open it, they reply, that is all.
Three possible answers: yes, no, maybe. Replies feed straight into your list and into the seating plan.
Is the wedding website public?
Only once you publish it. Until then, nobody but the two of you can open it.
Read it over before publishing: until you fill it in, it shows examples, and nobody wants their guests to find a name that is not theirs.
Can my photographer upload the photos?
Yes. They upload the gallery from their own space, and it appears on your wedding website, in the right place, without you having to download and re-upload anything.
You stay in control of what is visible.
Contacting a vendor
Requesting a quote, comparing, knowing what is genuinely available.
What does a quote request commit me to?
To nothing. It is an enquiry, not a booking. You can send several, compare, and follow up on none of them.
The vendor receives your enquiry with your date and your guest count, so they can answer with something concrete rather than ask you for that information a second time.
And if they do not reply?
It happens, especially in peak season. We cannot guarantee that a vendor replies, nor what they will say.
What we can do is show you other vendors matching the same criteria, and tell you which ones usually reply quickly.
Do you take a commission on what I book?
No. No payment goes through the platform, and we take nothing on what you book. The contract is concluded directly between you and the vendor.
What vendors pay for is their presence on the site, not a percentage of you.
Are the reviews reliable?
The reviews shown on a listing come from the vendor’s public reviews and are presented as they are, with no filtering on our part. Where a review is verified, the listing says so.
A listing without reviews is not a bad sign in itself: plenty of very good vendors never ask for any.
Account and data
Signing in, deleting, understanding what is stored.
I can no longer sign in
From the sign-in screen, request a new password: a link is sent to your address. Remember to check your spam folder.
If you signed up with Apple or Google, there is no password to recover: use the same button as when you signed up.
I want to delete everything
Write to us at contact@wewed.be from your account address. Your space and its contents are deleted, free of charge.
What has already been sent to a vendor belongs to them: we cannot delete a message from their inbox. The Privacy page covers this in detail.
What do you know about my wedding?
What you entered: your date, your guest count, your budget, your lists. That information is used to run your tools and to pass on your quote requests, nothing else.
It is not sold, and it is not used to target you with advertising.
Payments
What is paid, what is not, and what does not go through the platform.
Can I pay a vendor here?
No. No payment, deposit or refund goes through the platform. Everything is settled directly with the vendor, on the terms you agree with them.
How does the gift list work?
You build your list, your guests view it and contribute. Contributions go to your account: we do not hold the money and we take nothing from it.
Getting started
Creating your listing, making it visible, understanding what is paid.
How do I create my listing?
From “Create my listing”, you enter your trade, the area you cover and your contact details. The listing is then reviewed before publication: that is what assures couples the directory is not full of ghost entries.
Allow fifteen minutes for a complete listing. You can come back to it at any time.
What makes a listing that gets enquiries?
Three things, in this order: photographs, a starting price, and detailed packages. A listing without a photograph is almost always ignored, whatever the talent behind it.
- A gallery of at least ten photographs, taken in real conditions.
- A “from” price, even a broad one. A listing without a price drives people away.
- Your packages, and what they include.
- Your availability, to avoid enquiries for dates already taken.
How do I edit my listing?
From your space, Profile tab. Changes are visible immediately, without further approval, except for a change of trade or of company name.
Enquiries
Receiving them, replying, understanding where they come from.
How do enquiries reach me?
By email, and in your space. Every enquiry arrives with the wedding date and the number of guests, so that you can answer with something concrete from the first message.
Replying quickly counts for more than replying at length. Listings that answer within twenty-four hours say so to couples, and it shows in the response rates.
How do I manage my reviews?
Your public reviews are shown on your listing. You may report a review you consider abusive: we examine the report, without guaranteeing removal.
We do not delete a negative review on the ground that it is negative.
Can I manage my availability?
Yes, from the Availability tab. Dates you mark as taken appear on your listing, which avoids enquiries that go nowhere.
Subscription and billing
What presence on the platform costs, and how to leave.
How much does a subscription cost?
The packages and their prices are set out on the subscriptions page, which is authoritative. They depend on the visibility you want, not on the number of enquiries received.
We take no commission on your services: what you invoice the couple is yours in full.
How do I cancel?
From your space, Billing tab. The conditions on duration and notice are set out in the Vendor terms of sale, which is the contractual document.
At the end of the term, your listing stops being promoted. Your content is not destroyed for all that.
Where do I find my invoices?
In your space, Billing tab. They can be downloaded as PDFs, in the name and company number you provided.
