The first object your guests receive from you

Invitations, menus, place cards, day-of stationery. The studios in the directory.

1 approved workshop 1 province

The invitation arrives six months ahead, and it sets the tone for everything else. It is the only moment when your guests hold your wedding in their hands before they are there. The paper, the weight, the way the envelope opens: it all speaks before the first line.

The studio in the directory

Just one for now. The page will grow with the directory.

Or by province

Supply is not spread evenly across the provinces. That is why the province is a filter here, and not a page of its own.

How to choose your stationery

  1. 1Double the lead time you expectDesign, rounds of edits, printing, finishing, posting. Six weeks is a realistic minimum.
  2. 2Order ten percent moreThere are always people left out, wrong addresses and one copy to keep.
  3. 3Check the postageA square format or a thick paper costs more to send, sometimes twice as much.
  4. 4Think about what comes nextMenus, place cards, seating chart. The same studio will make them match, and often for less as a set.
  5. 5Have three people proofreadA wrong date on a hundred copies cannot be undone.

The five questions to ask

  • How long between approval and delivery?
  • How many rounds of corrections are included?
  • Does the postage for this format cost more?
  • Do you also do matching stationery for the day itself?
  • Are the envelopes and the calligraphy included?

What it costs

From 3 € per invitation in a small run to 10 € and more for bespoke with gold foil or letterpress.

These amounts are market benchmarks I wrote myself, not measurements. No listing in this category has entered a price in the database.

What's moving right now

  • ·The paper invitation stays, with the RSVP online next to it.
  • ·Small runs, made by local studios rather than printers.
  • ·Textured papers and plant-based inks.
  • ·Matching stationery for the day itself, ordered at the same time.

Frequently asked questions

When should you send the invitations?

Between 4 and 6 months before, and more if guests are coming from far away. The save-the-date goes out even earlier.

Paper or digital?

Both. The paper sets the tone, the online RSVP saves you chasing replies.
